Mary DuQuesnay, Board Chair
Mary has served as Chair of the GSO since it founding. She is also currently President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, a position she has held since 1994. Mary is a graduate of the University of Guelph and has volunteered for many arts and health organization in the community including, founding chair of the Guelph Services for Persons with Disabilities, member of Torchlight Industries, Rotary Club of Guelph, Guelph Light Opera Company, and St. Joseph’s Volunteer Association. She has been a cantor at the Church of Our Lady since 1971 and regularly sings with the GSO and other groups as well as giving solo recitals. In recognition of her many contributions to the community, in 2009 she was awarded the Women of Distinction, Life Time Achievement Award for Public Service. She also received the Mayor’s Award of Excellence in 2006.
